Church Partnerships

Strengthening Families Through Community

Foster families need more than just training—they need a strong community of support. Churches have a unique opportunity to step in and be the hands and feet of Christ by surrounding foster families with love, encouragement, and practical assistance.

At I Care Family Services, we partner with churches to create foster care support teams that walk alongside foster parents, ensuring they never feel alone on their journey. Your church can be part of the solution by providing real, tangible help to families caring for vulnerable children.

How Churches Can Get Involved

Your church can make a lasting impact in the lives of foster families and children in need. Here are some ways to partner with us:

  • Build a Foster Support Team – Organize a team of volunteers who provide meals, childcare, encouragement, and other essential support for foster families.
  • Raise Awareness – Host an informational session or sermon about the need for foster care in your community.
  • Recruit Foster Families – Encourage church members to consider fostering or adopting.
  • Offer Respite Care – Train volunteers to provide short-term care for foster children, giving parents a much-needed break.
  • Provide Practical Assistance – Assist with house chores, tutoring, or transportation to ease the load for foster families.
  • Financially Support Foster Families – Fundraise for emergency needs, clothing, school supplies, and special events for foster children.
  • Pray for Foster Families & Children – Cover foster families, children, and biological families in prayer for strength, healing, and restoration.

Church Support Teams & Volunteer Opportunities

We help churches organize Foster Care Support Teams—groups of volunteers dedicated to serving and supporting foster families. These teams provide:

  • Meals & Groceries – Deliver home-cooked meals or grocery gift cards when families receive a new foster placement.
  • Babysitting & Respite Care – Help foster parents get rest by providing short-term childcare.
  • Mentorship & Encouragement – Walk alongside foster families with prayer, encouragement, and check-ins.
  • Tutoring & School Support – Offer academic support to foster children who may be struggling in school.
  • Transportation Assistance – Help with rides to school, therapy appointments, or extracurricular activities.
  • Donation Drives – Collect essential supplies like diapers, backpacks, clothing, and toys for foster families.

Your church’s support can make a world of difference for families who open their hearts and homes to children in need.
